Stopping Deadly Force!

 

When officer Brady first fell behind the car, he noticed the exchanges being made between the driver and passenger, appeared intense. The plates came back without outstanding warrants, or felony arrests against the driver, so he hesitated to pull his weapon upon approaching.

Still, he felt something was off.  He was pulling over the driver because there was not a light upon his plate.  He shrugged off the feeling of uneasiness, and stepped out of his cruiser. As he got up to the window he asked for license and registration. The papers appeared to be in order.

He could not help to notice that both young men appeared nervous, so he asked them, “Do you know why I stopped your vehicle”?  The young man driving said “no sir.” Brady then told him the light was not lit, over his plates.  He then asked them where they were going, and both young men spoke at once, each having different answers.

He decided to question them separately. Upon telling the driver to get into the back seat of his cruiser, the man got out, and started walking that way. The officer then heard the faint click of the passenger side opening, as soon upon hearing this, Brady took his C2 Taser from its holster, yelling at the passenger to stay in the car.

The man did not comply, having several bench warrants in several states, out on him, he had decided then and there – he was not going back to jail.  He quickly jumped out, raising the 38 caliber in the direction of the officer. Before his arm had raised even a third of the way up, Brady saw the weapon
and fired into the man’s abdomen, through the passenger side window. In an instant, he dropped the gun, hit the ground, curled into a fetal position. Brady ran around the car, recovered the gun, using his shoulder microphone to call for back up.

It was then he realized, without his C2 Taser, this situation could have turned out very different. He had not seen the gun, until the moment the man had started raising it. He knew he would not have had time to unsnap, draw and fire, his own weapon, before the man could have gotten off a shot.

She had stopped on a poorly lit, less traveled road, the only one leading to her job. She tried to ignore them at first. This just seemed to inflame them. Need to make a phone call, another sneered. She lost her temper, yelling at them, “I have already called the police, and they are on their way”!

The oldest pulled out a cell phone, holding the “no service” display up to her window, to taunt her all the more. You lied to us, the one holding the phone shouted. WE hate liars, snorted the second! It quickly went from bad to worse.

The oldest, who appeared to be the “leader” said “let’s get her.”  In an instant, he placed two kicks against her passenger-side glass, shattering it on his third. She reached into her purse, grabbed her
Taser C2, and armed it. Not seeing what she had done, he dove into the window to grab her.

She let him have it, just before he had grabbed for her. His buddies, not yet aware of what was taking place inside the car, tried reaching in, to grab her as well.  She put about a five- second zap, on each of them before they knew what had hit them. They hollered, and each fell to the ground.

The first who had dove through the broken window, had received a full 30 second pulse from the C-2
was totally incapacitated.  When the other two, were able to stand again, they tried pulling their near unconscious friend from the car.

She hit them both again. They stayed down this time. About a minute passed, when a car drove slowly by.  Seeing two men outside on the ground, and the broken window, two middle age men got out, asking is anybody hurt?

Upon telling them what had happened, one man stayed behind, while the other drove just down the
road calling 911.  The police were on their way.  What might have happened to this young lady, if she
had not listened to her instinct and got her C2 Taser?  YOU BE THE JUDGE.
